Who we are

Sparkline is an AI phone answering service built for UK electricians, operated by Novellum. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how it's handled, in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What data we collect

When a call is answered by Sparkline, we may collect:

For electricians using Sparkline, we also hold basic business details (business name, contact information, service area).

Why we collect it

Data is collected solely to relay accurate job details to the electrician you're calling, so they can follow up. We do not sell or share caller data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Legal basis for processing

We process caller data under legitimate interest, enabling a business to respond to an enquiry you've initiated by calling them. Electricians using Sparkline process their business data under contract, as part of using the service.

How long we keep data

Call recordings and transcripts are retained for a limited period to allow follow-up and quality review, then deleted. Exact retention periods will be confirmed as Sparkline moves out of early testing.

Who has access

Call data is shared only with the specific electrician a caller has contacted. It is not accessible to other Sparkline customers.

Third-party processors

Sparkline uses third-party infrastructure providers (including voice AI and telephony providers) to operate the service. These providers process data on our behalf under their own data processing agreements.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to object to how it's processed. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
